Education Aid Program

 

Our mission is to stand up for deprived people and poor school or college students in their bad times, and help them to be self-dependent so that they can live in the society with self-dignity. We expect that all of them can make big impacts in changing our world. We like to extend our hands with financial help whatever the amount is. Please join us to help uncovering these possibilities for a better future.  

We cover underprivileged talented students with the following Education Aid Stipends:
 

  1. One-to-One Monthly Stipends (University/Medical)

  2. One-to-One Monthly Stipend (HSC)

  3. Post Grad Monthly Stipend

  4. University/Medical Admission Prep Monthly Stipend

  5. University/Medical Admission Test Aid (Form Aid + Travel)

  6. University/Medical College Admission Fee Aid

  7. HSC Admission+ Fee Aid

  8. SSC Board Exam Fee Aid

  9. HSC Board Exam Fee Aid

10. Education Aid (Common Fund/One Time Aid)

11. Education Aid with Collaborations

12. Education Aid to Conference Travel (with sponsors' interest)

1. Academic Excellence Award

 

Merit scholarship is given in the beginning of each year around January and February. We consider the merit list published by the academic institutions as well as recommendation letters from teachers.

 

The scholarship money is one-time and will be used in supporting education. The amount of each scholarship can be of 500-1000 Taka (BDT) or higher.

 

We conduct three sub-programs under this category:

1) Excellenece award for university students,

2) Excellenece award for college students, and

3) Excellenece award for high school students

2. One-to-One Monthly Scholarship

 

The one-to-one scholarship is supported by a single person or a group of affordable people or students or friends in a community or association. We recommend to support a student partially or throughout his/her college or university life under this scholarship category. 

 

Educational expenses for a student can range from 1500-4000 Taka (BDT) or higher per month. It depends on the campus location, the family condition, and the studying class.

 

We now conduct four sub-programs under this category

1) Support university/medical students (Bachelor Degree), and

2) Support college students (HSC)

3) Uni/medical admission preparation candidates

4) Post-graduate study (in a very rare case and if in top 3 in undergrad)

 

The following are required:

1) A candidate himself/herself must write a COVER LETTER addressing to the President of the Manush Manusher Jonyo Foundation, Inc. It contains the family condition and the needs in detail. 

2) Must completely fill in two FORMS (merged as one PDF document) by her/his own with all required signatures and academic official records (certificates, transcripts, and other supporting documents). One form asks for mostly the biography and information about her/his needs, while the other form tells more about her/his family financial condition, background educational record, and cost breakdown where s/he is heading towards for pursuing university/college program.

3) The candidates should scan all forms and supporting docs, and send to us via email (found in the forms):

How to apply for one-to-one monthly stipend?

 

An applicant MUST FOLLOW the steps below for consideration of our scholarship:

1) A cover letter addressing to The President, Manush Manusher Jonyo Foundation, Inc., Michigan, USA (1 page or more, self handwritten)

 

2) Application form for monthly scholarship is in option #2 found above.

3) Download the form, fill it in properly with information wherever applicable, get the signature needed from your college principal (or vice principal) or department head of the university that the student is attending.

4) Scan all the pages, your all academic records, admission results, admission records and receipts, etc.

 

5) Send it to our email address manusherjonyo.charity@gmail.com from your OWN email account, but NOT from someone's email account.

 

6) The certificate name should be exactly the same as your email ID. Email address also should have a good match with your name.

 

*Once we received the application package, we try to contact the candidate shortly.

 

NOTE: We would not consider application package if all the conditions described above are not satisfied.

3. Reg/Admission Aid Scholarship

 

This scholarship is provided to the students who are qualified in final exam (known as "allow" or "test" exam) before they appear for the public exam like SSC or HSC, but cannot bear the amount of registration or board fees.

 

Scholarship is given to carry a part of students' fee such as 50% or 75%, or 100% depending of the family condition and the merit position of the students published by the schools. 

 

We conduct four sub-programs under this category:

  1) SSC registration aid scholarship,

  2) HSC registration aid scholarship, and

  3) University registration/admission aid scholarship

  4) Stipend Application Form for Uni/Medical Occasional Fee (registration)

The following are required:

1) A candidate himself/herself must write a COVER LETTER addressing to the President of the Manush Manusher Jonyo Foundation, Inc. It contains the family condition and the needs in detail.

4. Trust Fund Scholarship

 

The last category of scholarship includes trust fund scholarship. We encourage donars to donate money via different trust funds named after their relatives and/or organization. A university students can be sponsored by forming such trust funds. MMJ will handle all administrative work to ensure that the trust fund is utilized and distributed properly based on the donor's defined guidance. The trust fund can be named after a person or an organization.

 

There is no minimum or maximum limits for each trust fund. We strongly recommend the donars to provide very specific criteria to follow for the donation collected in the trust fund. 

 

Please contact us to start a trust fund scholarship.

At least one member of the organizing committee from Bangladesh will work to select a school to become under this scholarship program.  Upon selection, he or she will work with the school teachers and/or school committee in selecting the students as per the above described selection criteria. The teachers or school committee and the member of the Manush Manusher Jonyo Charity Foundation residing in Bangladesh can make any opinion; however, the final decision will be taken by the organizing committee
